Building Materials Manufacturer — From LCA to Multiple EPDs
For a building materials manufacturer, LCA studies were conducted across different product families, and EN 15804 compliant EPDs were generated from the same platform.
Production recipes, energy consumption profiles and logistics data for the manufacturer's concrete, mortar and insulation product families were defined within the platform. ISO 14040/14044 compliant LCA calculations were performed; EN 15804+A2 compliant EPD documents were produced from the same data. The full calculation flow chart, input-output tables and sensitivity analysis were exported as a single PDF from the platform for the verification body.
