From supplier to OEM, product-level carbon data

OEMs are now requesting product carbon footprints from their suppliers in structured data formats rather than Excel. For Tier-1 and Tier-2 manufacturers, CarbonSmart automates product-level calculation, collects supplier data from a single hub and produces comparable kgCO₂e reports for every part.

The Sector's Real Problems

From data collection to reporting — every step breaks

!

Growing demand from OEMs and buyers for product-level (PCF) carbon data

!

Disconnected data collected from dozens of suppliers in Excel and PDF formats

!

Recalculating the material + energy + process + logistics combination for each part

!

Each OEM requesting different questionnaires and templates

Platform Features

Sector-specific, end-to-end integrated

Multi-product analysis

Calculate product-level carbon footprints for thousands of parts/SKUs in parallel. Bill-of-materials (BoM), material and process combinations are parametric.

Supplier data collection portal

A dedicated entry interface for each supplier; they upload primary data and pass through validation rules. Sectoral defaults fill in any gaps.

ERP integration

API-based connectivity to SAP, Oracle, Logo and OEM portals such as Ford/Volkswagen TDK — production and procurement data are synced in real time.

Fast product-level reporting

A PCF report for a part is produced within minutes; converted into the format requested by the OEM (CDP, EcoVadis, custom templates).

Comparative analysis

View the emission impact of alternative materials and supplier choices side by side; select the most suitable supplier for CBAM and internal targets.

Success Story

TÜBİTAK-Funded R&D Project — Scope 2 ML Optimization

As part of a TÜBİTAK-funded R&D project, machine learning was used to reduce Scope 2 emissions for a Tier-1 supplier in the automotive sector.

The electricity consumption profile of the production lines was modeled together with shift planning, line stoppages and weather conditions. A combined demand forecast and regional electricity mix forecast recommended optimal production windows on a per-line basis. During a three-month pilot, an average 10% reduction in Scope 2 emissions was achieved with no negative impact on workforce planning or line efficiency.

Average 10% reduction in Scope 2 emissions

Synchronized planning of shifts and electricity mix

Lower electricity costs while maintaining operational efficiency
